Your gift will support our collaborative community of artists and scholars gathered to explore deeply the rich cultural heritage of central Italy while fostering individual artistic, intellectual, and personal growth.  Spoleto Study Abroad gratefully accepts gifts in several forms as described below.  We hope you will consider a generous contribution and make a gift that is meaningful to you.

The most common method of making a charitable gift is to contribute cash.  Donations to non-profit charities, such as SPOLETO STUDY ABROAD, could save you money when you file your taxes.  For example, if you make a $2,500 gift before December 31 and you are in the 28% marginal tax bracket, you will save $750 in taxes.

Some companies will match an employee or retiree gift.  The donor should determine eligibility and supply the appropriate company form.

Making a gift of appreciated stock is one of the most advantageous forms of giving.  If you donate stock that you purchased for $2,000 or more 12 months ago, and it is now worth $10,000, you get a deduction for the full $10,000.  In addition, you have avoided the capital gains tax on the appreciation of the stock.  To make a gift of securities, please contact Judith Yarbrough at 843-965-8549.

Planned giving is the process of carefully selecting the best method and asset for making a charitable gift.  Such a gift can enable you to take full advantage of the tax laws to accomplish your financial and charitable goals.

You may donate to the campaign by making Spoleto Study Abroad the owner and beneficiary of your insurance policy or by including Spoleto Study Abroad in your will.
